Cold-headed from 7075-T6, the flange and washer are one solid piece. Nothing to drop, nothing to line up separately. Threads are rolled, which most people overlook, but it’s a detail that matters. Rolled threads don’t strip as easily and they hold torque better. The flange gets a light knurl, enough to bite, not enough to gouge. Anodized after forming. The Aluminum Integrated Flange Nut with Large Washer for Bicycle 7075-T6 wire rod goes into the header, comes out as a finished blank with the flange, washer, and boss all formed together. Grain flow stays continuous, which means you don’t get the weak spots you sometimes see with machined parts. We roll the threads instead of cutting them, so the surface is work-hardened and smoother, less likely to gall on the axle. The flange face gets a knurling pass. We don’t go deep—just enough to create friction against the hub flange. Keeps things from backing off on rough pavement. After that, we tumble the parts to knock off any burrs, then send them out for anodizing. Coating thickness runs 10 to 12 microns. Colors: black, silver, red, gold, blue. We can do others if the order justifies the changeover.
