Qimao Metal Manufacturer makes the Square Flange Cold Forged Fitting Pin for jigs, fixtures, and general tooling work. The cold forging process shapes the flange and shank in a single hit, so there is no material removal like you would get with machining. This preserves the grain structure and makes the pin stronger under shear loads compared to machined versions. The square flange stops the pin from rotating once installed. We make these from C45 or 42CrMo4 steel. Zinc plating is standard. Zinc-nickel offers better corrosion protection. Heat treatment is optional, bringing hardness to HRC 38–42 for heavy-duty use. Diameters range from 6mm to 50mm, lengths up to 200mm. Tolerance is ±0.02mm on the locating diameter. Typical applications include automotive welding fixtures, mold bases, die sets, and assembly tooling where repeatable positioning is required.

We start Square Flange Cold Forged Fitting Pin with drawn steel bar stock. Each lot gets verified for chemistry before we begin. The cold former shears the bar into blanks by weight, then upsets the head and forms the square flange progressively through several stations. The flange is shaped entirely by displacement, not machining, which keeps the grain flow continuous around the radius and eliminates weak points. After forming, we grind the locating diameter between centers to hold ±0.02mm tolerance. Surface finish runs around Ra 1.6μm. Zinc plating is standard, zinc-nickel alloy for more corrosion resistance, or black oxide if needed. Heat treatment is optional but recommended for high-cycle applications.
